Settings

Money added before the allowance day counts toward the month you're in. On or after it, it starts the next one — you can override that per entry.

Only changes how this open month is shown — past months keep whatever currency they were tracked in.

Nudges you to log it once a new month starts, instead of retyping it from memory each time. Never logs it for you.

Month

Month by month

Each month runs from your allowance day to the day before the next one.

Read a receipt

Open the photo in Photos, press and hold the text, tap Select All then Copy — that is iPhone's own text recognition, and it is far better at receipts than anything this app could do. Paste it below and only the numbers get kept. The photo is never stored.

Holding

What you put in and what it is worth now. Kept completely separate from your spending money — nothing here touches your allowance.

The currency is just how it's shown here — put in and worth stay in whatever you actually deal with (e.g. USD for a US brokerage). Nothing converts unless you tell it to.

Give units and a price and the value works itself out. A ticker or coin id also lets Update prices fetch it. Otherwise just type what it is worth.

Expected bill

Roughly what it costs is fine — it only reserves the money.

Separate with commas. You pick one when logging the payment and it becomes the label on the entry, so two different months read differently without ever looking like you paid twice.

Recurring income

Roughly what you get is fine — it only nudges you to log it.

New group

Groups are the headings your categories sit under. The only thing that changes behaviour is whether a group counts as bills.

Groups only organise your categories. To keep something out of the day-to-day figures, pick it under “Kept out of the day-to-day figures” in settings.

New category

Pick where it belongs. Bills stay out of your daily spending rate; Living and Shopping both count toward it.
